First Date

Tonight Jack had his first date.  That is with Josh and I.  A wise brother of Josh's does this once a month where they take one child on a date with them and let the child pick where they go and what they do.  Our babysitters came over and I asked Jack where he wanted to eat.  He didn't give an answer and said, "Whatever."  Then as we got in the car he said, "I was going to say Flying Star but I thought they would laugh at me so I didn't say that."  I asked if he wanted to go to Flying Star.  He said yes.  This is hillarious since Flying star is a little cafe that we always go to with my parents.  They have tons of desserts.  I told him he could get anything he wanted even have dessert for dinner.  He ordered a mini mac and cheese and water.  WHAT????!!!! This is not my child.  He must take after his father.  He nibbled on his mac and cheese and ate a roll and downed his water.  Wow.  Crazy.  Then he wanted to go on go carts.  So we went to an arcade with go carts.  Josh might have had as much fun killing it on the games.  Jack said while at dinner, "This is the best night ever!"  He felt so special and had all our attention which doesn't happen very often.  It was an unforgettable night and I am so excited to take Lucy next month.  I think everyone should try this.  It is an amazing experience.   I love our little guy.

That is adorable. Funny bc we just started doing dates where one kid gets to go with one parent. But I do love that date with both parents idea! Cute jack.
